How do you ensure that the camper is COVID Secure prior to rental?
We require a little longer between hires now to ensure that the camper can be COVID Secure prior to the next rental, luckily most areas inside the camper are wipe down surfaces.
For all hard surfaces a two step cleaning regime is adopted, first we wipe down all the surfaces to remove any organic matter, organic matter can inactivate disinfectants. Then we disinfect all areas thoroughly.
All soft surfaces are first steam cleaned and then disinfected to ensure cleanliness.
Can I pay a deposit to secure my booking?
Yes, you have the option to pay either in full or a by paying a £250 deposit. We accept either Paypal or Bank Transfer.
If you choose to pay a deposit the full value is due 4 weeks before your trip.
Do the vehicles’ have heating?
Yes, the heater uses the vehicle’s built in fuel supply. The heating can be programmed to come on and off at certain times or it can be kept on for up to eight hours. We will demonstrate how to use it upon collection.
Is there an electric hook up?
Yes, the power cable is stored under the rear seats and connects at the rear of the vehicle. We will demonstrate how to connect it when you collect the vehicle.
Our van also has a solar panel mounted on the roof to allow you extra freedom, as it constantly tops up the battery power.
Are pets allowed?
Yes we allow one small, well behaved dog. Please note that pets are not allowed on the seats as they can be easily scratched or ripped. We charge an additional £40 as a cleaning fee.
Are there toilets inside the vehicles?
Unfortunately there aren’t toilets in the vehicles, due to some bad experiences we no longer hire toilets out. However most camp sites have toilet facilities.
How many people can the campers sleep?
Our vans can sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children. Two on the rock and roll bed and two in the pop top roof, which is ideal for smaller travellers.
How much is the security deposit to hire the van?
We require £1,000 to cover the insurance excess. If the camper is returned in its original condition and no deductions have to be made, then you will receive your deposit back via bank transfer within seven days of the vehicle being returned.
Is there a limit on the number of miles I can do?
There is no limit, however if you exceed 1000 miles you will incur a £125 deduction from your security deposit, there are no further charges after this.
Can the van transport bikes?
Yes, you’re able to hire our rear mounted VW bike rack for a small additional charge. It can transport up to 4 bikes.
How old do I have to be to hire a campervan?
You have to be at least 25 years old and less than 75 years old to hire our camper. You must have held a full British or European driving licence for a minimum of two years.
Can I drive overseas?
No, unfortunately we are not insured to hire outside of the UK.
Who can drive the van?
We will insure one person as the main driver for your trip, however we are able to add an additional driver for a small fee.
What documents do I need to provide before I can hire the van?
We will need a copy of your driving licence, current passport and two recent utility bills, which can’t be more than 60 days old. Please note that the name and address need to be exactly the same on all documents for them to pass as proof of address for all drivers.
Every driver must provide a DVLA Licence Check Code in advance. This is valid for 3 weeks and can be sourced here: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
Please email the Licence Check Code at least 3 days in advance.
Drivers must have no more than 1 fault or Non fault claim within a 3 year period.
Can I still hire the van if I have some points on my license?
Our insurance provider stipulates that drivers can have up to 6 points on their licence, providing they are only 2 minor offences.
What’s the minimum hire period?
Darcie – 3 nights (Minimum 7 nights in children’s holidays.)
If I am driving to collect the van where can I leave my car?
You are able to leave your car on our drive at our residential address, but please note it is left at the owner’s own risk.
Where do I pick up/drop off the vehicle?
At our address in Warrington, Cheshire.
Do you provide towels and bedding?
No, the customer must bring their own bedding and towels. We only provide a mattress protector for the beds.
What happens if there’s an issue with the van?
In the unlikely event that there is an issue with the van, you will be fully protected by our breakdown cover, but please contact us too and hopefully we would be able to help.
What do I need to bring?
We recommend that you bring your own pillows, sleeping bags (to help maximise space), towels, car seats and outdoor cooking equipment.
If travelling with smaller passengers, please don’t forget their car seats.
Should we get holiday travel insurance?
We recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance to cover all of your personal belongings.

Do you provide camping equipment?
We provide 2 adult camping chairs (small children’s chairs can be provided upon request) a foldaway table, kettle, plates, bowls, cups, cutlery a washing up bowl, dust pan and brush and basic cleaning equipment.
What are the pick up and drop off times?
Due to COVID-19 we require a little longer to ensure that everything is properly cleaned. Pickup should be after 3PM and return no later than 11am. However, we aim to be as flexible as possible so if necessary please get in touch with us and we can arrange a time that is suitable for both parties.
